How to encrypt a new PGP message? A guide for dummies.

This post will explain how you can use your public key and password to create a new encrypted message. If you haven’t got your keys, follow this guide to make them.

Remember you already have your private key, public key, as well as your password. Missing any of them is a no-go, you can go back to post #1 above to make them (again).

Rembemer the colors? This post focus on section 2, encrypting tool.

To encrypt a PGP message, you need to paste the public key to input field #2 below let it use for encrypting your message in box #1. Then click on Encrypt, right?

Smart! Yes, you’ll get the encrypted message replaced in box #1 like below.

See, your box#1 now has new value which you’ll use to share with your friend. Too easy, ins’t it?

This means other people can use your shared public key (that’s why it’s called PUBLIC KEY) to encrypt a new message and send to you.

But how can you decrypt it to read in human language? That’s the post #3 in this series.
